Bio
Ryan Benton currently serves as United Bank’s Market President for the Charleston Region. He leads Commercial and Business Banking and is responsible for curating, growing, and maintaining strong relationships with the business community. Prior to joining United Bank, Ryan served as Charleston Market President for CresCom Bank where he led and mentored the commercial team in Charleston. Prior to his tenure with CresCom Bank, Ryan worked for BB&T and Wells Fargo. He began his banking career almost 20 years ago and throughout his professional life has experienced every aspect of Commercial and Business Banking, as well as Retail Banking. This diverse background paved the way for his success as a Leader and Commercial Banker today. Ryan has contributed many hours to volunteering in the community to include currently serving on the board for Increasing Hope Financial Training Center and on the campaign cabinet for the Trident United Way. Ryan is a graduate of the Citadel and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
